The MX Linux project announced its first flavor of KDE Edition with the Plasma desktop with MX Linux 19.2 release.
This midweight and stable Linux distribution – MX Linux primarily comes with the lightweight XFCE desktop environment as default flavor. And now, you can enjoy MX Linux with the KDE Plasma desktop spin as well.
KDE Plasma team working hard to make the KDE lightweight – getting away from the ‘resource-intensive’ reputation. If you have not yet check out the recent KDE Plasma, you should do. It is glossy while being lightweight with all KDE applications pre-loaded.
MX Linux KDE Edition brings the MX Linux applications and KDE applications together in a single Linux distribution. While you have the great KDE Application such as Dolphin File manager, KDE Connect, etc in this distro alongside you can also have the MX Tools such as Snapshot or Package installer at your disposal.

Although the KDE Plasma version is old compared to the latest KDE Plasma 5.19 – but it is the most stable KDE Plasma at the moment. So, you will have a rock-solid desktop for your work and other productive activities.
The other applications also have the most stable version in MX Linux 19.2 KDE edition. For example, Thunderbird, LibreOffice, etc, they recently released their brand new major version – however not included in this release.
