How to install and add Clip Arts in LibreOffice

Clipart is an integral part of any Office suites. Clipart are small images used for activities while working in Office applications.

In Ubuntu, LibreOffice also provides an alternative to use Clipart.

How to install

To install Clip art in LibreOffice, run below command in the terminal.
sudo apt-get install libreoffice-openclipart

Note: Its 100 mb+ download and all the images saved at /usr/share/openclipart/png/.

Before using the clipart in LibreOffice, create a link to the LibreOffice directory using below command
sudo ln -s /usr/share/openclipart/png/ /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/gallery/clipart

Usage

  • Open LibreOffice Writer.
  • Click Tools -> Gallery.
  • Choose your desired Clipart.
  • To insert into the document: Right click on the clipart image and choose insert.
