LibreOffice 5.3 Might be Coming With Ribbon Style Menu

1 min

LibreOffice, the free office suite for Linux, Windows, might be coming with a tabbed Ribbon interface.

Named “NotebookBar“, this interface is currently under development in ongoing LibreOffice version 5.3 daily builds. LibreOffice 5.3 is scheduled to release on end of January 2017 and at this point is it unknown whether this ‘Ribbon’ feature would make it for 5.3.

However, if you are interested and want to experiment, you can download the daily builds and give it a try.

WARNING: It is not recommended to run the development version in production machine because there would be bugs. Make sure you know what you are doing.
