I started with a Debian based OS, love Debian based OS’s and have no desire to learn how other Linux OS’s do things. While I have used Debian in the past, I like the polish other OS’s put on Debian. Also the forums are much more user friendly if you run into a problem.

Ubuntu is based on Debian so Zorin is based on Debian too, just a bit further downstream! That also makes regular Mint based on Ubuntu and Debian, not just Mint DE, again just a bit further downstream.
