Yes, it’s possible. Use the following set of commands (first remove and then install):
sudo apt remove –purge libreoffice* sudo apt autoclean sudo apt autoremove sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa sudo apt update sudo apt install LibreOffice

Okay.. Here’s the thing.. Linux Mint came with LibreOffice, but it’s an old version.
What I need help figuring out, is how to UNINSTALL that old version that comes with Mint.. So I can cleanly install the new version!

Tried to downgrade back to 6.4 via ppa: failed. 7.3 is refusing to deal with a large odt file I have and messes with Calc too. Thanks for nothing.

Thanks, Arindam. Followed your procedure and upgraded from LibreOffice 6.4 to 7.1 with no issues on my VirtualBox Linux Mint 20.1 guest virtual machine.
