The people at Voyager lied to you – to us all! I actually really like the distro however, SNAP pops back up after a couple of silent updates. The main reason I tried it was because their main selling point is that it totally removed SNAP (which sucks btw). I didn’t believe it because it is Ubuntu based and they (for odd reasons) have decided to dive in head first and support what has to be the worse package manager out there. This while SNAP-fu, is why I am moving away from Ubuntu in the first place. FLATPAK is the way to go, but what do I know? I’m just your regular end-user that applies common sense to most things in life. IE, SNAP packages often do not work. Matters not what you do they just do not function. This doesn’t happen with FLATPAK – so what to do here?? Run with FLATPAK! Just makes sense to me. If you want a great looking distro with some good features and you read some French, Voyager is a good pick. If your main reason is/was like mine to check out this distro is because they claim to be SNAP-free. Stay away. You’ll see up slowly begin to pop up and yes, it will create the same problems that we all are complaining about.
